Duo Nutcracker Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 8, 2026
Duo Nutcracker is a toy for the iPhone Duo, made by Jake Vieke ("I", "me"). It cracks virtual nuts when you close your phone. This policy is short because the app collects nothing.
Information the app stores
Duo Nutcracker keeps a few preferences on your device: your chosen nutcracker and table style, sound and haptics settings, and a running count of how many nuts you've cracked. That's all, and it never leaves your phone.
Information the app does not collect
- No internet connection is used; the app has no network code at all
- No account or sign-in
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
- No access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or any other personal data
- Nothing is sold, shared, or sent anywhere
Device sensors
The app reads the position of your iPhone Duo's hinge to know how far the nutcracker is closed, and plays sounds and haptic feedback when a nut cracks. This is handled entirely on the device and is not recorded.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send me anonymized crash reports. These do not identify you. You control this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything it stored, including your nut count.
Children
Duo Nutcracker does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling data differently, I will update this page and the date at the top.
