Features

Bring your own tabs

Open plain-text, PDF, and Guitar Pro files from Files, iCloud Drive, or any app's Share sheet.

Auto-scroll

Set a speed and play. The page keeps moving so your hands never leave the guitar.

Edit in place

Fix a wrong note or add your own voicings right in the reader.

Chord charts and keys

Look up any chord, see what's in a key, and spin the circle of fifths.

Built-in tuner

Uses the microphone to tell you whether each string is in tune. Audio never leaves the device.

Search the sites you choose

Add your favorite tab websites as search locations and save tabs straight into your library.

Private iCloud sync

Your library lives in a Hammer On folder in your own iCloud Drive, visible in the Files app and synced across your devices.

Vision Pro

Pin a tab in space and play along on a virtual fretboard with hand tracking.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. There's nothing to sign up for. The app has no account system at all.

Where are my tabs stored?

On your device and, if iCloud is on, in a Hammer On folder in your own iCloud Drive. They never go to a server of mine.

Does the app track me?

No. There are no analytics, ads, or third-party SDKs in the app.

Can I use tabs from Ultimate Guitar or Songsterr?

You can add any site as a search location and save what you find there. Hammer On doesn't ship with those sites built in, and it's up to you to follow each site's terms.

Why does it ask for the microphone?

Only for the tuner. Audio is analyzed live on the device and is never recorded or sent anywhere.
